Plaza San Martin
This is my favorite park in Buenos Aires. It honors Jose de San Martin, an Argentine general who liberated not only Argentina from the Spanish, but other south american countries. In Plaza San
Martin, you'll see a statue of the general, and on some days (like when we visited) you might catch a group of Granaderos
(a special type of soldier) running drills or involved in a ceremony. One of my favorite aspects of this park, are the old,
large tres called ombus that everywhere. You might be surprised to find out that they aren't really tress, but enormous bushes. Are you surprised?
Well, I gave it a shot.
