Recoleta

Recoleta is an historic neighborhood in Buenos Aires. It's most famous point is the Recoleta Cemetary, where many famous Argentine politicians, actors, artists, etc are buried. It's so desirable to be buried in Recoleta, that many families rent space in another's vault for the "burial" in the afternoon, only to have the body moved to one of the public cemetaries at night. The neighborhood of Recoleta also contains a huge street market, cafes, and a large home furnishing gallery. Linden and I spent the day with mi mother, and our good friends Cecilia and Maria Clara.
