Tigre
About 32km (20 miles) from Buenos Aires there is a river delta called Tigre. It's a popular vacation and summer home area. Tigre is to Buenos Aires what the Catskills or Fire Island is to New York.
The whole area has the feel of a little town, except that it's on water.
Linden and I took a half day trip to see the area. I had been there before, during the summer, when it's livelier. Our visit
was fun, though it would have been better on a sunnier, warmer day. Because we arrived so close to lunch and wanted to take
a boat tour, we opted for lunch on our tour catamaran. That was our only mistake. The food was terrible and expensive. So,
if you visit Tigre, eat at one of the many restaurants on shore, and just sightsee on the tour boats.
