El Mercado, Hotel Faena
One of the best meals we had in Buenos Aires was at the Mercado restaurant, in the beautiful Faena Hotel. Compared to New York prices, the cost was very reasonable, and the quality excellent. For Buenos Aires, it was an extremely expensive restaurant. The service was outstanding, as I guess one might expect in the Faena Universe. That's how they refer to the whole complex. A little pretentious, I think, but at least it lives up to the claim.
