Poble Espanyol
How to describe Poble Espanyol? It was constructed for the 1929 Bacelona Internal Exhibition to allow visitors to get a taste of Spain's varied regional architectural styles without having to travel very far. Consider it a very well done Disney World, without the annoying cartoon characters. While Disney World looks good, it always gives the impression of being too perfect, artificial. Poble Espanyol was built by artisans of the day, and as such feels like a real town. Visit their website http://www.poble-espanyol.com We didn't go there during the day. We went there at night, to see a flamenco show, and got to walk around and take pictures without having to deal with crowds. |
