Girona
Girona was recommended to us as a destination by a few people and a couple guidebooks. Unfortunately, we didn't have much
time to explore this town and we arrived during a period of rather unpleasant weather. Also, though it was a very nice town--an
old city center surrounded by modern construction--it was a bit of a letdown for us. Having just fallen in love with Rupit and the Monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres, Girona, as charming as it was, didn't stand much of a chance by comparison. I'm sure that if we had seen Girona first, we
would feel differently.
