Marigot

With its French-speaking French people, little French-style cafes, multitude of French restaurants, Marigot was the epicenter of French life on the French side of Saint Martin. We spent quite a bit of time in this little town, exploring, eating and enjoying. We had only one bad meal during our entire trip, and it was in Marigot at a place called "Le bar sur la mer". The food was very mediocre, and the waiter was possibly the worst we have ever had, in any country.
The first few pictures are of the hotel we stayed in before Linden's parents arrived. It's called the Beach Plaza, and we quite enjoyed it. Check out the picture of phone dialing instructions. It hints at the low-grade animosity that seems to exist between the French side toward the Dutch side.
