Istanbul
Every flight to somewhere else in Turkey passes through Istanbul. How could we not spend some time here. The only city in the world that straddles both Europe and Asia is chaotic, dirty and full of life. For anyone traveling to Turkey, start in Istanbul first and then make your way onward. We did it backwards and didn't get the enjoyment out of it that we should have.
